Holton-Arms School

In the words of its founder, the Holton-Arms School is dedicated "to the education of not only the mind, but also the soul and spirit." Our goals are to build confidence, integrity, and love of learning that will prepare young women for a changing world and to endow each with a profound sense of respect and responsibility for herself and the community.

Holton's new all-school global education program, which sets out to expose students to the developing world as part of their education for the 21st century, is the natural expression of this goal. As part of this program, rising seniors will spend two weeks during the summer in one of three locations- Costa Rica, India, and Senegal. The trips will be both academic and experiential in nature and include a service, and in some cases, a home-stay component.

The School provides rigorous and dynamic programs in the traditional academic areas, the fine and performing arts, and athletics. Our student body reflects a diversity that includes academic, economic, geographical, cultural, racial and ethnic, and religious differences. The school's environment encourages young women from diverse backgrounds to take risks, learn from mistakes, pursue opportunities for leadership, and build lifelong friendships.

School facilities include a track, indoor pool, double gymnasium, three regulation-size athletic fields, seven tennis courts, a 400-seat theater, a black box theater, dance studios, arts studios, and seven science labs. Holton is a laptop school for grades 7 through 12 and has wireless capacity throughout the school buildings.
