White House Recognizes Flint Hill School’s Coach at Title IX Celebration

Jun 21, 2012

The White House invited prominent individuals impacted by Title IX legislation to celebrate the 40th year of the statute’s implementation. This included Flint Hill School’s PE Teacher and Varsity Girls Basketball Coach Jody Patrick.  Title IX, the law honoring equity for both genders in educational programs that receive federal funding, revolutionized opportunity and justice in education and athletics.  In summing up her experience at the event, Coach Patrick spoke glowingly of her fellow attendees “So much of who I am, how I teach, and how I help young student-athletes find themselves rests on the shoulders of the women who attended this White House Title IX Celebration.”
