The New and Improved Career Center Launches

Jul 17, 2012

Independent Education (IE) announces the launch of its interactive upgraded Career Center.  With its focus on independent schools, the IE Career Center offers its members—and the education industry at large—an easy-to-use and highly targeted resource for online employment connections.  Independent Education represents the greater Washington area audience of qualified education professionals and career opportunities in independent schools.  With the redesigned and upgraded Career Center, IE’s network of educators and administrators will have the chance to have jobs and resumes seen by local and national qualified candidates.

“This valuable resource just got better! With our new Career Center, our members will have access to top-notch, searchable resumes of quality candidates, and managing job posts will be easier with online accounts,“ stated Mary Worch, Executive Director for IE.  “With the upgraded Career Center, Independent Education increases its reputation as the independent education industry leader for the Washington, DC metro area.”

Both member schools and non-members can use IE’s Career Center to reach qualified candidates.  Employers can post jobs online, search for qualified candidates based on specific job criteria, and create an online resume agent to email qualified candidates daily.  The Career Center offers a filtering option and notification system that aligns the best candidates to your jobs without wasting time.  You can turn on automatic notifications to receive email notifications when new matching resumes are uploaded, and the searchable resumes can be filtered based on education, experience, and subject, a lowing you to view resumes that match your criteria. They also benefit from online reporting that provides job activity statistics.

For job seekers, IE’s Career Center is a free service that provides access to employers and jobs in the Independent Education Industry.  In addition to posting their resumes, job seekers can browse and view available jobs based on their criteria and save those jobs for later review if they choose.  Job seekers can also create a search agent to provide email notifications of jobs that match their search criteria.
